2019 Labor Seminar – Registration

​​​​Brothers and Sisters,

Registration for the 2019 PA FOP Labor Seminar is now open.  It will be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg, 95 Presidential Circle, Gettysburg, PA 17325 Thursday, March 28th  6pm, through Sunday, March 31st 12 noon.
This seminar is invaluable to leaders in your police association.  This is excellent training, and it will include expert advice and case studies in several areas of labor law and collective bargaining, including but not limited to:
  • Act 111 (our bargaining bible)
  • Discipline
  • Arbitration
  • Filing and processing grievances
  • Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (unfair labor practices)
  • Pensions & Retirement
  • Act 47
  • Heart & Lung
  • Disability
NOW IS THE TIME TO EDUCATE YOURSELVES!!!  Don’t wait until your association is embattled!  Prepare in advance.
Remember, you can’t play the game if you don’t know the rules.

As in other years the Lodge will pay for your registration and hotel.  Attendance at all times is required unless prior arrangements are made.  Breakfast is included with the hotel, lunch is provided on Friday and Saturday.  There will be a hospitality room Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

The Red Rose Lodge is currently conducting it’s annual phone solicitation drive throughout Lancaster County. Fundraising is being performed by Public Safety Promotions from Philadelphia, PA and Turnersville, NJ. Calls are made by Public Safety Promotions’ marketing offices. Website Updates

Some updates have been made to the website. Most of these changes will hardly be noticeable and should seamlessly integrate with the website as you have come to know it. With that said, web “stuff” can be unpredictable due to the wide variety of computers and browsers being used.  If you are having difficulty viewing the website since your last visit please contact the webmaster with a description of your problem.

Updates:

  • Various software updates.
  • Increased type size site-wide for easier viewing.
  • The previous method of securing pages was no longer supported by the software publisher. A new, more advanced, method of securing those pages is now in place. You must be logged in to  access the members’ sections.
  • There is a login security system now in place. Repeated failed login attempts will result in a lockout. If you have trouble logging in, contact the webmaster.
  • Some minor content changes were made.
